RARE M. Ken Real Bird, Crow Nation, Double Purple Sapphire Heavy Native Sterling Silver Overlay Cuff Bracelet 

This heavy sterling silver Native cuff bracelet by M. Ken Real Bird, Crow Nation, is super bold, super rare and a complete Showstopper featuring 4.6 carats of blazing purple sapphires.

Kennard Realbird is an accomplished Horse Nation retired Bronc rider who now raises bronc ponies at REAL BIRD BUCKING HORSES in Montana.  He is also a listed Artist, his original living horse painting photographed by Brady Willette "Crow War Pony-1" is in the permanent collection  of the Smithsonian National Museum of the American  Indian.

This is the first piece of jewelry  I have seen by him, and it is exquisite, just like his other works of art.

Ken states this cuff was created around 1987. It is a Mod Sterling overlay cradleboard design on the bands with lightning signified by the bold crossover shape. The matching pair of rectangle cut Violet Sapphires are breathtaking and he has set them so that light can enter and enliven the stones while the cuff is being worn. The sapphires are a brilliant violet under direct sunlight, they are a cooler, blue-purple inside, under candescent light. Beautifully executed original design in this one of a kind, true collector museum piece.
